How to: make iced coffee with the Vienna Coffee French Press

In this short blog we are going to share with you 2 delicious and quick recipes of fresh iced coffee that can be made with our Vienna Coffee French Press Cafetière. You don't need a lot of equipment and it is ready quickly. This way you can have a delicious iced coffee brewed with the French press in no time!

Cold Brew iced coffee with the Vienna Coffee French Press

Supplies:

Step 1: Grind coffee

  1. Weigh 75 grams of coffee beans using a scale.
  2. Grind the coffee beans to a medium coarseness using a coffee grinder.

Step 2: Prepare the Cold Brew iced coffee

  1. Add the ground coffee to the French Press.
  2. Pour (480 ml) cold water over the ground coffee.
  3. Stir gently with a spoon to ensure that all the coffee is evenly moistened.
  4. Place the lid on the French Press, but do not push the plunger down.
  5. Let the coffee steep in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours (or overnight).
  6. After steeping, slowly push the plunger down to separate the coffee from the ground coffee.
  7. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the cold coffee over it.
  8. Add milk and sweetener to taste (for example 2% milk and maple syrup) and stir well. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa if desired.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Cold Brew Iced Coffee!

Brewed iced coffee with the Vienna Coffee French Press

Supplies:

Step 1: Grind coffee

  1. Weigh 75 grams of coffee beans using a scale.
  2. Grind the coffee beans to a medium coarseness using a coffee grinder.

Step 2: Prepare the Brewed Iced Coffee

  1. Bring 960 ml of water to the boil using a kettle. Then let it cool for 1 minute to about 93°C.
  2. Add the ground coffee to the French Press.
  3. Slowly pour the hot water over the ground coffee, making sure all the coffee is evenly moistened.
  4. Stir gently with a spoon to thoroughly mix the coffee and water.
  5. Place the lid on the French Press, but do not push the plunger down.
  6. Let the coffee steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Then slowly push the plunger down to separate the coffee from the ground coffee.
  8. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the hot coffee over it.
  9. Add milk and sweetener to taste (for example 2% milk and maple syrup) and stir well.
  10. Let the coffee cool and serve it chilled. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa if desired.
